INSOMNIA, SLEEPLESS PROBLEMS SOLVED BY MOVING THE CELL PHONE

Cranial work is a chiropractic technique that greatly helps to reduce insomnia, or sleeplessness.  However, it cannot work as well when "sleep interrupters" are present in a person's sleeping environment.  Derek was a massage therapist that previously worked in my office, and he came to me complaining of severe insomnia.  He was ready to try prescription drugs, as he was at the end of his rope and badly needed sleep.  He wanted to try chiropractic before turning to drugs.  I adjusted Derek's spinal misalignments and did cranial work on the top of his head.  These all helped, he said, but he wasn't getting quite enough sleep.  We sat down to talk, and I asked him what items were present in his sleeping environment when he would settle down for sleep.  He began to describe the contents of his bedside nightstand.  When he said, "My cell phone charges there every night," I told him to put the charging phone in a nearby room instead of so close to his head at night.  Voila, and problem solved!!  That night, Derek slept like a baby, he reported.  Cell phones emit impulses that disturb sleep patterns, among other bodily functions.  When a cell phone is kept closer than 3 feet to a person trying to sleep, the normal sleep patterns become disrupted and insomnia often results.  Refer me to your neighbor who is always yawning and has that cell phone in her ear; at Blue Ribbon Chiropractic, We've Got Her Back and will help her find her Sandman.
